My Workouts Aren't Syncing — What to Check

Connected your Concept2 account but a workout isn't showing up? Here's a checklist that resolves almost every sync issue, in order of most likely fix first.

1 — Run a manual sync

Syncing doesn't happen continuously in the background — it runs when you click the Sync Workouts button on your dashboard. If you finished a row five minutes ago, click Sync Workouts and give it a moment. When it completes, you'll see a message telling you how many workouts were added.

2 — Make sure the workout reached your Concept2 Logbook first

Chase The Split pulls data from your Concept2 Logbook — not directly from your erg. If the workout isn't in your logbook at log.concept2.com, it can't sync here. Common reasons a workout hasn't reached the Logbook yet:

  • The ErgData app on your phone hasn't uploaded it (open ErgData and check it's signed in and synced)
  • You rowed without ErgData or a connected device, so the workout only exists on the erg's monitor
  • The workout was logged to a different Concept2 account
  • Once the workout appears in your Logbook, click the Sync Workouts button again.

3 — If the sync fails, reconnect

If you see a "Sync Failed" message, your connection to Concept2 has usually expired or been revoked. Fix it in two steps:

  • Click Disconnect on your dashboard's Concept2 connection
  • Click the Connect Concept2 button and log in again. Then click the Sync Workouts button once more. Reconnecting is safe — it never deletes any workouts you've already imported.

4 — Check for duplicates, not missing data

Every workout is matched by its unique Concept2 Log ID, so syncing repeatedly never creates duplicates. If the sync says "Up to Date," the workout you're looking for is either already imported (try searching your session list by date) or hasn't reached your Concept2 Logbook yet (review step 2).

Still stuck?

If you've tried all of the above and a workout still won't display, contact support and include the workout's date and distance — that makes it much faster to track down.
